These are the signs of the
intolerance workplaces now hold for Violence and
Harassment.
A review of Ontario’s first
year anniversary of Bill 168 shows an impressive number
of complaints submitted to the Ministry of Labour.
They’ve had approximately 500 complaints for violence
and 1,350 for workplace harassment; having issued around
1,100 orders with respect to this bill.
Workplace Violence and
Harassment legislation has compelled workers, managers
and businesses across Canada, to really address these
issues that were once put aside.
Negative workplace vibe triggers mental illness, study
says
A newly
released survey on mental health in the workplace shows
there could be a connection between stressful and
negative working conditions and the mental health of
workers. Most mental health problems, the study finds,
are a result of a negative or mentally toxic workplace.

Remember
violence and harassment should never be simply accepted
as "part of the job". Make it your job to report it!
