TDG: Amendment 11

It’s all about fine-tuning Amendment 6.

March 10, 2012, the Canada Gazette published proposed amendments to the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations, labelling them Amendment 11. This proposed amendment addresses inconsistencies and lack of clarity for clients introduced in amendment 6 (2008) by proposing:

·         to clarify the packaging requirements of outer packagings of aerosols in small quantities;

·         a more precise indication of filling requirements for standardised and non-standardised means of containment; and

·         an option to affix labels and placards in accordance with the IMDG Code for land  transport to or from a port.
