In December
2012, Firefighters and HazMat teams were busy putting
out an aerosol warehouse fire in Brampton, Ontario.
“Brampton Fire crews
responded to Empack Spraytech Inc., near Airport Rd. and
Hwy. 407, around 1:30 p.m. on December 17, 2012.
According to Brampton
Fire Department officials, surrounding businesses were
evacuated to avoid exposure to ethanol and heptane.”
About 30 to 50 employees
were working at the location that day and one employee
walked away with burns to his hands.
The cause of the fire is
still under investigation.
